MATERIALS:
Leftover scraps of Opal Uni-Solid or favorite Multi Set of five Size 1 dpns (or size needed for gauge} GAUGE: 8 stitches = 1 inch
STITCH PATTERN: 3 sts/12 rws
Rnd 1 and 2: p1 k1 p1
Rnd 3: k in front of 2nd st then p in 1st st, sl both sts off ndl tog, p1.
Rnd 4: k1 p2
Rnd 5 and 6: k
Rnd 7 and 8: p1 k1 p1
Rnd 9: p1, p into back of 2nd st then k into front of 1st st, sl both sts off ndl tog.
Rnd 10: p2 k1
Rnd 11 and 12: kBEGIN SOCK:
Cast on 33 sts. Work in st pattern: Rnds 1-12 2 times, then rnds 1-5 once.
Next Rnd: k2 tog, k around (32 sts).HEEL FLAP: k 8, turn.
Row 1: k1, p 14, k1, turn.
Row 2: k.
Repeat these rows until heel flap measures 1 1/4-1 1/2". End ready to work Row 1.TURN THE HEEL:
Row 1: k1, p9, p2tog, turn.
Row 2:sl 1, k4, ssk, turn.
Row 3: sl 1, p4, p2tog, turn.
Repeat rows 2 and 3 until all sts are worked. 6 sts remain.GUSSETS:
Pick up and k 8 sts on side of heel flap. K across instep. Pick up and k 8 sts on opposite side of heel flap, plus 3 heels sts (11-8-8-11).
K 1 rnd even.
Next rnd: Ndl 1: k to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1. Ndls 2 and 3: k. Ndl 4: k1, ssk, k to end. Work 1 rnd even.
Repeat these 2 rnds until 32 sts remain. Then work even until foot measures about 2" from gusset pick up (about 14-16 more rnds).TOES:
Decrease Rnd: Ndl 1: k to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1.
Ndl 2: k1, ssk, k to end.
Ndl 3: k to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1.
Ndl 4: k1, ssk, k to end.
Next Rnd: k.
Repeat these 2 rnds 1 more time (24 sts), then work the decrease rnd only until 8 sts remain. Weave toe, or run yarn through
