We have only 6 knitted color samples. We had a sample of #1040, but the color was incorrect. So I knitted a quick swatch to show the true color.

As you can see, the #1040 is actually a soft dark/light grey. Not the dark blue as it appears in the socks pictured above.

Knitting this swatch, I discovered that I simply love love this yarn!! So, I'm gonna go on ahead and knit myself a pair of socks. I love this color too. And the feel of the yarn, just yummy!! Maybe they used a different wool source for this collection cuz it's super soft, lovely to knit with and the skeins are so plump!! (Grin) When I have my sock finished, I'll post the picture and maybe the instructions as well. ~ Soxie ~

Isn't this baby sweater just the cutiest thing you've ever seen?? As you see, it was knit with the Magic #1043, and it is darling. So, yes... sock yarn can be used for other items besides socks. Use the Opal for any pattern that calls for fingering weight yarn. You'll be delighted at the results.
